According to ToriSet.org, “Girl” is the least played song off Little Earthquakes. It’s been performed live only 49 times since her debut album came out almost 20 years ago. In comparison to a song like “Precious Things”, which has been played 658 times, that’s a tiny number. Kind of makes me sad, because “Girl” is one of my favorite songs.
In honor of the 20th anniversary of Tori Amos’ debut album, Little Earthquakes, I thought I’d post one of my favorite songs from the sessions: a demo version of “China”. This particular version has about a minute-long improv at the beginning that I just love, don’t know why. <3
i remember yes, in my peach party dress no one dared no one cared to tell me where the pretty girls are those demigods with their nine-inch nails and little fascist panties tucked inside the heart of every nice girl
